We brought back Creative Conversations - Animation style. In this event series, we spoke with CSSSA Alums working in the Animation industry. We heard from renowned artists who have created and worked on award-winning series and films such as Adventure Time, Cars, Spider-Man, Coco, Inside Out & more!

CSSSA Alumni found their voice during this virtual storytelling workshop. We partnered with The Moth to provide this incredible experience. The Moth is dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling. Their mission is to honor and celebrate the diversity and commonality of human experience. Participants watched Moth stories, brainstormed personal story ideas, and were given a chance to share rough drafts of their story!

In our newest event series, Creative Conversations, we gathered CSSSA Alums working on and off-stage in Musical Theater. During this virtual discussion, we heard directly from critically-acclaimed artists and asked questions in real time! Moderated by Carey Perloff, panelists included the talented Adam Jacobs, Carrie St. Louis, and Max Vernon.

In a partnership with EIF, the CSSSA Foundation proudly offers access to their new pilot program, EIF Careers Program. EIFCP aims to support studios and productions in hiring more candidates from diverse backgrounds and nonprofit programs. Check out their FAQ sheet here!

We welcomed six of our amazing college partners to our first ever Virtual College Fair! The event featured six California Arts Colleges; ArtCenter, CalArts, CCA, LCAD, Mills College, and Otis College. Students had the opportunity to hear from each school and ask questions to the admissions staff of each college directly.

We teamed up with Ryman Arts and Otis College to provide an online information session for all prospective and incoming students. Uncertainty pairs well with a pandemic. This event allowed students to ask questions directly to the admissions office of Otis College, followed by a brief presentation of resources and expectations during a pandemic.
